Fall Wedding in the Mountains
santana & mike
On Friday Sept 27th, Brianna and I met up with Santana and Mike. They had an amazing wedding planned, one we had been looking forward to. Normally September is a beautiful time for fall colours. But this year it was early winter. Their wedding day captured about 2 seasons in one day. Fall as we started, then a full-on blizzard later into the night. But like I tell all my brides, your day will be what it is!! We were able to capture some amazing photos even though it was very cold.
To start the day we met up with the bride and groom at the Wolf Lodge in Canmore for getting ready for photos. After that, we all headed to Banff for the ceremony at Tunnel Mountain Reservoir. In typical Banff fashion, there was an elk sleeping and we had to wait for Parks Canada to come out and scare it away. In an even more Canadian experience, Parks Canada used a hockey stick.
We then took some photos around Banff before the real snow started to fly. The reception was held at the Sensory & Wit Bar in Canmore. What an amazing place!
